Creating WebBlocker Profiles

A WebBlocker profile is a set of restrictions you apply to groups of

users on your network. You can create different profiles, with differ-

ent groups of restrictions. For example, you can create a profile for

new employees, with more restrictions than for other employees. It is

not necessary to create WebBlocker profiles if you use one set of

WebBlocker rules for all of your users.

After you create profiles, you can apply them when you set up Fire-

box User accounts. This procedure appears in Chapter 11, “Manag-

ing the Firebox X Edge and User Accounts.”

1 To connect to the System Status page, type https:// in the

browser address bar, and the IP address of the Edge trusted

interface.

The default URL is: https://192.168.111.1

2 From the navigation bar, click WebBlocker > Profiles.

The Profiles page appears.

3 Click New.

The New Profile page appears.
